A new fix... we are up to version 3.6 on the mod that lets us put videos in posts with just the URL... FB video is on their 5th iteration, so we'll keep patching it up when we can.
To prove it is working, here is a video.

Crazy stuff - the video link did not show up in your original message UNTIL I was replying to say I saw no link,,, then there the link was in your posting under my reply box where it was showing your message....

Hmm... Maybe an FB video quirk not triggering your browser to the situation.
It showed up for me as soon as I hit enter and it had time to load. I am using the Chrome browser again.
See If this one does it... FB again...

Same thing - No link to the video when I look at your message, but when I go to reply and look down at your message the link is now there... I will try to attach to screen captures to show whay I mean... on will be your message without the link showing, and the on the other you will see the bottom of my reply comment box and below that, your message with the link showing.

Hugh,
Here are some screen shots that I get on this end... attached... You are supposed to be seeing the video in the post not the link... Anybody else not seeing the video in the post..?
-
I see the Video in the Link I posted of my Eagles 1st Flight... I posted the Link by itself in the message box as you directed, with no additional text - and it seemed to work on mine.
But I am not seeing your videos - I noticed you are putting the Link within a posting of the message body with other text - will that have an effect on me seeing your Videos?

It should not... The last one I posted had nothing but the video URL in the msg, and I see it on my end... I am baffled.

Dan, I am signed in. I did not see the video nor a link in your first post. Then, to answer your question if anyone else sees the video, I hit reply, and, now I can see in your first post, the link to the video, but the video is not displayed. Clicking the link took me to a Facebook page with a hoverboard video.
Hope that makes sense.
Just a thought - I am not logged into Facebook, and seldom do. Could that have anything to do with not seeing the video in this post?

Tom,
Thanks, I was logged in. I too rarely log in to FB, and usually log out after I do go there. However when I logged out just now, the FB videos still show up here and Hugh's Youtube always has. I guess the mod is wacky...
I mentioned this behavior to the SMF people last night... so far no response.

Tom, all...
Everyone (that looked) from the SMF support site, say they can see the videos, even on mobile.
I have Fire Fox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome running right now and the videos all display in the posts as they should... Even Internet Explorer.
I am going to suggest you update your browser of choice to the latest version, and update Adobe Flash...
The last link down there has some important security information as well.
