The trailing edge height for my ribs were trimmed to 1/2" (extended the "wedge" between the capstrips 1/8" for this slightly larger end height. Can't find any trailing edge stock that is 1/2" x 1" (emailed Spruce and they can't make these sticks.)
The Spruce online catalog shows these aluminum trailing edge parts. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/mepages/trailedge.php
Of course the joint between these pieces and the ribs including gussets. Will also look into perhaps having 1/2" x 1" wood sticks trimmed to trailing edge shape (very expensive out here in WA.)
Anyone have similar problems and how did you solve it?
Appreciate your time and thoughts.

John,
I used square section spruce (cant recall what size) . I had to splice it because of the freight issue. I then clamped it to the bench and ran the belt sander along it and gradually profiled it. comes out pretty good. Just dont shave it o a sharp point. leave it about 1.5 mm thick at the trailing edge. worked for me.
cheers Paul

That's probably the way to go. Frankly never thought of that. Thanks. John

Hi John.
I used an electric plane on some 3/8" x 1" spruce and then finished off with the sander. Marked the lines and carefully took my time.
Was very happy with the result.

I left the trailing edge 1/8" thick - rounded the corners a little when sanding - this piece is not robust... Cut to shape with a good table saw...

Thanks, Steve. Good idea. I'll use it.
