I officially have the plans for my Double Eagle build. I am only a bit over an hour from Leonard's Brookshire Int'l airport so I drove down this past week to purchase my plans in person. It was a real delight to meet Leonard on his home turf.
It will be a few months before I can begin the build but am already anxious to get started. I live in Ledbetter, Tx about two miles from the nearest paved road which is highway 290. I have almost completed a Champ 7AC project and just love the build process. Like all of us first time scratch builders I too will have tons of questions. I know some of you live close to the central Texas area and with your permission would love to talk about your build and the best practices you've discovered. Until then, fly safely.

I guess I should have noted that I have DE-G-20 plan set.

Thanks Frank. I used to own a small ranch north of Buffalo, Texas. Strip mining took me out or I might still be there. I look forward to further communication as we get these planes built.
