Hi and good day to all.
I am about to lay-out the instrument panel of my DE.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone will share their panel lay-out.

thats the current version, gauge missing is a tiny tach
works well dont need any more info way enough for that plane

If you don't mind, may I ask what are the two vertical slots on both sides of your panel?

The two slots are for Throttle it is set up to fly both left and right seat as my daughter has about 400 build hours in the project
she wanted her own controls, so she got them & She will fly in any weather with me

Yes that's what I thought so.
I also want to do the same thing in my DE build though I have not yet made the design on how the mechanism(torque tube) with friction plate
behind the panel will go and up to the carburetor throttle. It would be great if you could share your design with me so I would not start my design
from scratch and since your's is already working. I hope you can share some pictures of the st-up.

Well even thou mine has worked since modified i have built in errors (use to be cable)
mine is linkage to the carby (I use a Bing) and very happy with that BUT i need to swap to push pull cable which will allow for
movement in the engine to fuse, not that would change the throttle level placement but would from there to carby back into the fuse
it was originally cable and wish i left it that way
Why a Bing ? simple answer "they work"
2 of use run them here the 2nd one is in a OneX - we have no troubles

You are always a great help. I did plan to use cable and will be using a Zenith Carburetor for my VW 4-Cylinder engine.
I hope my carb will not have a problem?! He he he.

DErwin, here are pics of DE Stubby instrument panel, and the cross-over tube for the dual throttles.
The instrument panel pic is older, showing a single throttle control under the center of the panel, and several other items have been added, including a second electronic tach. Now there is a tach for each ignition and dual throttles. Also, a cabin heat knob and EGT selector switch have been added. From left to right in the photo: ignition switches, tach, air speed, altimeter, rate of climb, carb heat, Micro-air radio, choke, oil pressure, oil temp, volts, amps, cht/egt gauge, elt panel, various switches and accessory power supply jack.
In the throttle cross-over pic, there are bolts in the end of the red tube that can pivot in the end brackets. The bolts have been secured to ensure they do not loosen, but can pivot in the end brackets. There is a throttle push/pull connected to each end lever. The left side throttle is a lawn equipment product, connected by a bowden cable, where the knob can be turned to lock it in position. At the right is a simple rod/knob push/pull, but no locking action. In the middle of the red tube is the lever where a bowden cable is connected. The other end of this cable attaches to the carb throttle lever. The carb is a Zenith, which works well. We have observed that the intake tubes will form water/frost in certain conditions, so carb heat is available.

Thanks for the tips and pictures.
Your set up is awesome and we have about the same instruments except for the Vertical Speed Indicator(VSI) and panel type radio.
I am still tinkering on how to put all the instruments, switches, power plug (for my portable radio), Carb heat etc. while keeping
the panel height to not more than 6-1/2 - inches. I reckon that if the panel height is seven(7) inches and up you can barely see
anything up front anymore! I am going to make a cut-out from cardboard of all the instruments and stuff so I can move them
around for best possible location.
Thanks again and will see how my panel and the dual throttle control goes.
