Title: Converting to push pull rod for elevator

Tried numerous searches and cant find any specifics on what is being used to convert to pushrods for elevator, like tubing (steel or aluminum ) what size or what size rod ends , and tubing inserts . I'm kinda clueless here  Help!!!

I have 9 pictures on page 3:

I used 1/2 inch .049 al. tubing 6061 and bought rod ends and bearing from Aircraft Spruce.  This is what I did, not recommended by the Boss.  Your plane will no longer be a legal eagle if you modify the design according to the Boss.  Change at your own risk.

Wow I thought the tubing would be at least 3/4. I like your setup, just curious any reason why you picked fork ends instead of hiem joints?

I am a first time builder and have never heard of hiem joints.  I saw some pictures on this web site and tried to copy.  So far after 43 hours of crow hops and pattern work it has worked well.  I have only flown a converted hang glider for about 300 hours prior to this.  (Pterodactyle)
