I built that wheel. It weights less than the shopping cart wheel recommended in the plans. I'll weight it when I get home tonight.

Yeah, I'm curious. I made a functional tailwheel (I think) out 4130 but seems heavy. Attach a pic if you have one. Thanks!

The aluminum wheel assembly doesn't have any lightening hole drilled yet and I have a 1/2 inch bold (could be smaller dia.). It only weighs 20.28 oz. as is.
The shopping cart wheel doesn't even have a nut and washer or steering arms and it weighs 23.67 as is.
Not a huge difference but on a project that typically gains weight with mods, it's an improvement.
