Title: Looking Into XL Builds / Builders
Post by: J McCoy on July 04, 2020, 09:28:58 AM
Hi All,

My grandfather has tasked me with finding additional information and contacts he can talk to regarding Legal Eagle XL aircraft and the builders that have made them. He's old school and gets frustrated with computers, the internet, and forums. I've already found some great resources and youtube videos from this forum and have saved those links for future reference.

What I'm looking for now is people who are willing to have conversations on the phone, and are not opposed to in person visits to check out aircraft, talk shop, and share experiences with builds. We're located in the North Texas area and are willing to travel to Texas and surrounding states, and meet people provided they want to share their experiences and talk about builds.

Please shoot me a PM if you don't want your info out there, or drop me a reply with your contact info and your build information. I'd love to be able to help him with his build and put him in contact with people so he can get his questions answered.

Thanks,

J McCoy

Welcome to the Forum. Have you already talked with the designer, Leonard Milholland? He is "old school" and lives in Texas. I know if I had the chance to visit him, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I live in Georgia.

You might also be able to get with John Bolding, a Texas resident.  He offers the kits and welded fuselage if one desires.
I suspect those two would be the best Gurus available to you, should you wish to pursue it.
