I'm getting ready to start my build. After spending some time with the XL plans, I decided to get the full-sized rib drawing from Leonard. Page 34 of the plans say that the front spar is 6 7/8". The measured height on Leonard's drawing is about 7 1/4". How do I reconcile this? Thanks all.

As per search results, refer to Sam Buchanan's comment in this thread...

Thanks Dan and Theodore. I'll use Scott's supplemental drawings and "build to fit".

I used the same full size drawing but was not smart enough to see the discrepancy. I built the ribs to the drawing and then built the spars to match. One other error is the first vertical of the rib drawing is not 90* to the bottom horizontal rib. It's not off much but if you position the rib pieces on the drawing the ribs will not fit up to the front spar correctly. I would NOT recommend anyone to buy Leonard's full size rib drawing.

But like my daddy said, " if you're gonna be dumb, you better be tough!"

I had also asked Leonard about this discrepancy and I said I'd use Scott's drawing and build to fit. His response was "use the full sized rib drawing Take all the measurements from the drawing do not mix the rib drawings."
