Not every landing is perfect. Here is what happens when XL-58 is allowed to get too slow and stalls a foot above the runway:

The unsprung gear handled the bounce quite well and the Eagle easily recovered from the ungraceful arrival. The landing could have been salvaged.....but why bother. But this is a scenario that will get an inexperienced pilot in big trouble if the plane is allowed to bounce another time or two. Never stop flying the plane.......
This also demonstrates why we want the seat securely attached to the airframe.
