Y'all might be interested to know that the new custodian of XL-58 has expressed his admiration for the plane. He is finding it enjoyable to fly while exploring it's performance envelope.
This is particularly interesting considering his flying background; top graduate of test pilot school, F-4, SR-71, and multiple opportunities for making dead-stick landings in the world's heaviest glider from out-of-this world altitudes.
