BTW:
It is imperative to mark a center line on your tubes as noted at the bottom of this page. An easy way is with a sharpie and a flat surface. Lay the tube down so that it can't roll, and run the sharpie down the intersection of the tube and surface for a few inches at each end... You don't want a tube with 2 perfectly cut notches to still have a gap you can throw a dog through, because you don't have the notches lined up correctly.
