tail weight
« on: January 29, 2016, 03:15:29 PM »
hey folks....still preparing for the CE plans to roll-out, but have a simple question for those who build with a 4 cyl VW powerplant equipped double eagle. IF you took a bathroom scale and lifted the tail/set it down on the scale....how much weight are we looking at? Obviously, there will be some variables, but I'm looking for a few answers for averages. Thanks!

Thank you....mr g.. just trying to get a feel for the average experiences  out there. Most of us build a slightly bastardized version of this neat little plane, and this input is useful as you know.
