Wing Spars?
« on: August 02, 2016, 12:35:51 PM »
What material is used for the vertical pieces that go into the spars every 15" and the 1 3/4" on the wing end.  I believe they are 1/4" in width (same as the ribs) by 7/8" the thickness for the front spar. by length which is so the spar is even with the front of the rib.  Do I use the 1/4" plywood I used to make the nose ribs or should of I bought 1/4" x 7/8" cap strips, which I don't see listed on the materials list.  Thanks for any help.

Use solid wood, not plywood. I used spruce cut down from wider boards.
