Rib/Rear Spar Airgap?
« on: September 16, 2016, 07:46:46 PM »
Really quick question guys:  trial-fitting the ribs to the rear spar discovered that they fit like gloves that there is no airspace in their attach areas.   Some of you had mentioned having air spaces up to 1/16th inch.   Mine have none and it is a very close though not forced fit.

Would appreciate your thoughts.  Thanks

All I can say is: You did it right! You set your jig up correctly and glued everything together just right! Way to go!!

Very good John,   Like Bob S said, the gap is intended only to assist in putting all the ribs on the spar, yours sound like an excellent fit/build.  So your certainly good to go.
