I found a youtube video showing the overlay and then researched it to find out how it was done. Using the Gopro Hero 5 black and turning GPS setting on in camera setting, allows collection of data. To view the setting it has to be processed using gopro Quik program, i had not used it before so had to play with it for a while to get anything and it appears to be limited in time to either a minute or 3 minutes. One Minutes is all i could figure out. Anyway after some testing, trying, and time finally got what you see. I understand there are other programs that will grab and process the GPS data and show on screen but have not checked them out yet. I was first thinking it would be great to show entire flight time with gauges but decided showing things like take off, level cruise, full power flight, stall speed change, slow flight in short intervals will accomplish what needs to be shown.
