QSC type 1 Nicasil cylinders set on Ebay
« on: November 10, 2017, 09:30:17 AM »
I saw a set of 4 New  92mm Nikasil cylinders on ebay for $498.00. Has anybody tried, or know anything about these?  I wanted to swap my steel ones out to use the 5 lbs saved . to paint my plane.  (Had to fly in primer to make 254#)

Seems like a good deal if the quality is there.

Thanks for any input!!

Bob

I have them on my Hummel 45 hp.  That is what Scott Casler uses on most of their engines.  Give him a call at:  520-723-5283.

Thanks Charles,

Scott's price sheet has these for $350.00/ each. (1400 for 4).   This set if 4 is 498.00.  Am I missing something?
factory direct pricing?  I want to give Scott the business....Seems like a big difference.

I thought he might have the info. about the Nicasil cylinders that you had questions about.  The only experience I have is that they are great on the engine I bought.  It runs cool and no cooling tin needed.

these are not the same as Nickie's that Scott sells, they are coated(spray paint) not solid.
Porsche racing supplier likly where Scott gets 'em.
