Single eagle?
« on: September 06, 2017, 09:45:33 AM »
Has anyone considered chopping the double eagle down in width and just making it a single seat plane with a full vw engine?  I feel like the "texas super eagle" isnt an optimal setup

An LSA Super Eagle would be a great addition to the pack! Sounds fun anyways.

Just got my double eagle plans and have started to examin them for options on narrowing the fuse.  Perhaps ill use the xl plans as a basis for this.

I was wondering why Leonard hasn't taken the wing and tail from the double eagle and made a tandem seat fuselage. I had thought about that, but I'm no aircraft designer.

All,
On initial stage of building a DE.Five ribs to go yet.Mr. C. Anderson (XLE)is mentoring me, poor chap!
However, it will be just a very comfy single seater with lots of luggage capacity and a C65 on the nose.
Will keep fuse as per plans except by extending it another 3 feet as done by rfeenstra and a friendly Aussie, member of this clan.
Cheers,😎

If somebody wants to tag along, I have a 4-seater ready to go (Piper PA22/20).
