Hey Guys,
This Vw Type 1 distributor timing change is old news, it's on the net and I've posted about it more than once... If you don't believe what I've posted, here's another post than says you should witness mark the dist. timing setting and check it once in a while - like maybe before you flip a prop on that engine:

This feller has a way to stop the timing slip...  He calls it a "grub screw".
