tail wheel
« on: April 10, 2016, 08:00:51 PM »

i was recently reading about laminating tailwheel springs which i attempted a couple years ago before going with this coil spring/strut arrangement. it has endured about 12 hours taxi time on pavement and 68 landings on grass with no issues.

Just playing devils advocate here, but if or perhaps better said (when) that drops in a hole.  And if bad enough, that the whole wheel drops in- what breaks? Will it effect the rudder? will it be a easy fix or major?

Just curious
