Of interest
http://www.piteraq.dk/flight/muffler.html

The swiss style muffler
Note the original author Tony Bingelis
Aluminum round downspout is available in the US (home depot)
I have 100' of 3"  here at home waiting for me to put on my house
It is fluted or corrogated as in not smooth; but it is available in smooth.
Tom XL-7.
the swiss mufflers are very long but effective
Perhaps a shorter version would do.

I looked at the photo and a memory fell out of the cobwebs.
Those were stainless steel floats from a plumbing shop.
find such things in boilers.
Joe found them relative cheap in quantity somewhere.

lots of luck for the rest of us

Yeah, I know that as Joe said that way back when but he never came up with any info on where to source them!
Joe is a Master Scrounger but not much help with OP if you can't help get them !

Nice job man!
A little bummed though. I was seriously leaning towards orange myself.

You are absolutely right. I had an orange snowmachine once...could see that thing a mile away!
It's still my favorite choice. Black on all ironwork with orange in the covered areas.
