Engine idle numbers question - Video

Hi guys,
I got my my Mosler CB-40 1/2 VW running on the 8th. after an oil change and new oil filter. It's the first time the motor has been run in 6 years. I bought it used and the previous owner (deceased) kept meticulous records and maintenance in the engine log book. It has had 105 hours SMOH and fired in one pull after 5 choked pull troughs
with the switch off.  I ran it for 1/2 hour and the instrument numbers were great! I had the rear fuselage tied securely to
my Walnut tree.

I have a question on the idle numbers. I set it for 520 RPM's and it seems to like that idle speed. I'm running a Culver 54 x 22 prop.
What idle numbers do you use?

It runs pretty strong and smooth considering I haven't put the prop counterweight on yet.

Most what i read in the WWW, the idle is about 700-900 rpm.

comparing the two videos here, im not sure who is wrong with the numbers...
You said, its 520 rpm but sounds a lot more then mine set to 700 rpm.
The right rpm display is not the multifunction instrument but the display above that shows 700.

520 to low, 700 better, 900 better oil pressure!

700 on my engine seems a good idle.
Too low can result in low oil pressure. Too high result in more thrust when you dont need it.
And more heat and more fuel burn. Search the lowest possible with good constant oil pressure and low vibration.
