Minimum purchase length for 5/8" 4130
« on: August 28, 2024, 08:40:43 PM »
According to the plans, from station 1 to the tail post is 13.15 feet. Has it been common practice to use 13' tubes for the lower longerons and still come within the plans just shy of 13' after the two bends shrink the 13'? And how much shrink?
I hope my question makes sense. Basically what is the shortest i can order the 5/8" 4130 and have enough to make the lower longerons length according to plans? Thank you

14 feet. You *can* splice it, 4313 tells you how, but if you are ordering long stuff just get 14. You are going to pay outrageous shipping costs anyway.  :)
