Propeller Refinement for the XL
« on: December 04, 2014, 09:36:36 PM »
While at OSH 2014 Les Homan was given a new prop from Performance Propellers.  Les said that it was hands down better than the prop he had been flying.  Frank Johnson said that he would be working with Les to refine the prop for the Cassler engine.  Has anyone heard from Les or Frank on their efforts?

Just got a 55 X 22 on my door step!  Is this the one flown at Osh 2014 or the end result of the refinement?  I haven't heard any reports from anyone.  I still have to finish wing covering (almost there).  The holidays are going to slow me down but hope to have engine installed by end of January.  Will give you my numbers as soon as I can run them.  What should I expect to see??

Let's call it the next evolution in performance.:)
I'm continuously improving the design.
You should see 3200-3300 Static and 3400-3500 WOT.
Make sure you report back with performance numbers and remember the engine will take a few hours of breakin before it's making max HP.
