Anything new?
« on: April 01, 2015, 06:34:40 PM »
Anything remotely new to report?  We have had steady updates at least once a month for awhile, but things have been quite since January. I had a feeling test flights and possible plans release was
In the near future.

Hi Steve,
The Cabin Eagle is ready to fly just waiting for the feds to bless it.
Had to make some way to adjust the seat backs And came up with a pretty good idea
on that. I had a fed that said he would do it and sent him all the paper work and
he left town for a couple of weeks and said he would get back with me when he
returned but haven’t heard from him will write him tomorrow and see when he can
get here. But in all fairness the weather hasn’t been good enough to get the plane
 on the runway. Leonard

Wish the weather would clear up down there for him.  I keep hearing on the news about all kinds of flooding.

So, stupid question! Is there a timeline to releasing the plans for the CE?

I had purchased the DE plans a while back and "life happened." Now the progress for the CE seems to have advanced, should I wait for the CE plans instead? The folding wings and full cabin just adds more weight and requires a bigger engine but it looks like it is worth it.

Any ideas on timelines for CE plans?

thanks,

--jb

I don't think anything has been said.  It has been over 3 months since the feds blessed the plane.  We haven't heard anything about a first flight even.

During the past three months Brookshire and surrounding Texas areas have had historical flooding to include an early lingering Hurricane... Translates to very few operational days on a grass strip...

Leonard managed to get some high speed taxiing in and has decided to make some changes to the aileron torque tubes... Progress toward first flight is being made...

Good to hear.  Hopefully you'll have some dry weather in the future.

Gents,

The plane underwent some  "adjustments" after completion.   Those took some time.  Leonard's wife had a knee replacement and Leonard was 24/7 nurse and PT specialist for several weeks.   Weather has not co-operated every time all the other stars have lined up.
It will happen.      LO&SLO    John
