Head conversion
« on: March 05, 2014, 06:37:12 AM »
Hi all,

I am working on the heads for my motor and I would like some experienced based input on the intake tubes. I have the head video from Leonard and the plans but I could use more information on shaping the hole, and welding order. Pictures would be very nice.

Thanks,
John Harmon

John:

This is how I did it in Pic's:

Scroll down...

There are more ways to lay it out - see Joe Engelman and Norm H. engines...

If you are using a single carb on a top intake you can come out the top of the head with a stub tube or out the side as seen on most...

1 1/8" ID thick wall tube with very short runners if going with duals...

Do a trial fabrication on a junk head...
