Bending a windsheild
« on: December 08, 2013, 05:47:56 AM »
Was making a windsheild other day. Ended up putting it in the oven till it was "just right" then let it cool. Worked ok after I wrecked the first one and made a mess that was terrible to clean up.

I'm doing one for this new plane now. A wrap like yours...but i'm building a glass frame for it that will hold the shape. Don't wanta risk the oven and it won't go in there anyway. it's 060 lexan. a little stiff but workable barely. If i was doing it over would use 040 lexan and a few light braces behind it
