Wing covering over varnish
« on: November 05, 2015, 04:34:15 PM »
I've just about completed attaching the leading edge ply on what will be the wings for my cabin eagle.
I varnished the inside of the leading edge leaving the area for adhesive bear.
Now I'm thinking about varnishing the rest of the wing.
So, Do I varnish the whole wing area including the area where he covering adhesive will be? Or should the areas for the adhesive be left bare?

Thanks...Paul

I left the surface that was touching the covering bare...Lightly sanded after varnishing to remove ay over lap. Instructions say no varnished surfaces where covering touches.
