Vw inline

I have done some searching however, I can't find anything on the subject. Why hasn't anyone used the vw platform as an in line setup? As far as I can tell it is possible to run and would allow an accessory to be mounted adjacent.

If I understand your question correctly, there will probably be much more vibration than if it ran as a flat twin.

Certainly heavier having to run a full cam and crank.

I understand the heavier but I would think that the rotating assembly would be able to be balanced. Im hoping to move into a light sport eventually.
