AirVenture '17 Plans
« on: February 15, 2017, 11:58:34 AM »
I've been to AirVenture several times but never stayed for the whole week. Is there usually an LE community meet up usually? I'm planning on camping out for the whole week this year.

My wife and I are planning go for the whole week (I can't believe she agreed to it). We'll see how long we last in a hot tent. If anyone flies in they will most likely be parked in the Ultralight area. I'm going to keep my eyes and ears open for other builders. I'd like to meet some of the people who've contributed to the forum over the last few years. Maybe I'll see you there.

Vince, Wisconsin during AirVenture is a beautiful  mix of warm days and cool nights. Unless you are in your tent during the day it shouldn't be hot. I find it refreshing to put a sweatshirt on at night.
Powerful storms roll through some years.
A well-designed tent properly oriented will handle it but I have had to remove fabric from a dining fly before it moved to the next county.

Do we have any kind of list of those doing LE/103 related talks?

Hey Sideband... My other car is a C-130H (CT Air Guard). I spent a year or so working Gun Shop out of Duke Field 919th. That's a nice area you live in. I really enjoyed living on the Gulf coast. We should make an effort to meet up in Osh

By the way, there is a builder/flyer in Panama City Beach area.

Nice! I'm a Com/Nav specialist, and the U-boat is my 4th version I've been on so far. I was at Moody for 6 years working on slick Es, and the HC-130Ps/HC-130Js. My plan for Oshkosh is to meet up with as many people as possible.

Les, I'm excited to meet you and ORV. I've been subscribed to your youtube channel for a while now. You've got the best LE videos!
