A LONG time ago I talked Scott Casler into building me a set of 6 Nickies for my planned Corvair engine. Time moves on and am not going to finish that engine build. Scott has built Nickies for a LONG time for his VW engines and the Corvair parts are jewels. they save 3# per cylinder over the cast iron ones.
The key to Nickisil is who does the plating and I asked Scott could he tell me without divulging his source if they knew their butt from second base about Nickisil plating. He replied that he thought so as they also did all of the plating for Mercury Marine, good enough for me.
