Welcome aboard! I hope the information here will be of great help in building and keeping you motivated. Be sure and ask a lot of questions. I'm not building a DE but I do have a set of DE plans. The XL I'm building is quite similar in construction, except for the aluminum empennage vs the DE 4130 empennage and size.

Thank I plan on it and have been digging around. Really liked that XL but two seats is a must to take my kids for ride. But that XL is the best one I think!

Welcome, and if you have a problem just ask. I've tried to document building an XL here:

Keith, I'm probably doing this wrong, but it's the only way I could come up with.  That being said, my question concerns a post you made on 3/7/2020.  You were going to make some tests to test the strength of the Stewart System with Ecobond bond of fabric to the tail surfaces ribs.  To decide if you had to rib stitch.  Did you make the tests?  What were the results? I ask because I have the same question. Thanks for your help with this.

The strength of the fabric to glue to rib was very good, but some of my ribs did not provide a perfect match between the tubes and the ribs. To be sure I have no chance of fabric flopping around, I put some large-head pop rivets in the ribs to lock the fabric down. Rivets are probably overkill.
