XL fuselage, should I treat the inside of the tubing

I’m about to weld up my fuselage and was wondering if I need to treat the inside of my tubing or just paint the exterior.

Best practice is to treat the inside of the tubing. I didn't. (shrug)

Got me thinking. I *have* some tubing oil. I could do the bottom longerons and plug the hole with a pop rivet. They're the most important.

After my experience repairing a damaged fuselage that had oil in the tubes, I'm not going there! Think mini flamethrower at the weld joint. I didn't realize that the oil was there until it erupted.

I don't need no stinking oil in my tubes.
