Dihedral or not

[bI talked to a fellow who said that he set his wings with no dihedral and was much easier to fly, not so sluggish to turn. I was going with the design and 3inches but now wondering if it would be better to go with zero dihedral. Any thoughts to share?[/b]

I took the dihedral out.  It is not a docile flyer.  Not bad, but I work the stick a lot more than if I had put in the 3 inches.

It's already a high wing.  The more dihedral, the more lift spills off the wing tips.  The more dihedral, the more a crosswind can get under a wing.  There are DIY autopilots out there if you want to read maps aloft.  These are just thoughts, and every design descision is a compromise...

I put in the three inches dihedral..and..washout at the tips. Flies normally, but the ailerons are heavier than the rudder. I've "thought" about making the actuating arm on the stick a little longer, but that will be a long way off if I do it at all.
