I've got the plans for the XL, and have studied them and the 1/2 Dub plans to death. My problem is, I am between homes. I sold and moved out of my last one a month ago, and have had to wait a month to move into the new one. While in limbo, I drug out the CAD program and fiddled around (I'm a retired CAD Jockey and engineer from way back). Here is what I've come up with so far, just for fun.

One more image of the airframe. If you look too close, I don't have the cuts shaped and some of the tube lengths need some tweaking.

Fuselage looks nice. Don't forget the diagonal from station two to station one and the two down tubes (cabanes) from wing mount to upper corners of station one (firewall)

Looks great! Only one more tube to go. Diagonal from dash to firewall opposite orientation from tube on bottom. I circled it in photo above.

I think that extra tube from the seatback is to prevent the seatback from buckling during rapid acceleration created by Verner 3-cylinder radials on takeoff. Probably a secret design feature.

Thanks guys. I guess I should've done a bit more studying and checking build pictures. I assumed the upper back bone went to the seat back. It did not. And I just missed the other stuff. Good thing I just did this "for fun". Ha!
Well, anyway, here is my updated design. ;-)

Good drawing. Believe me, it is *easy* to miss something. I almost ran two tubes from the bottom longerons to the tailpost because that is just the way it is normally done. Nope. One tube as you have drawn it. Now.. you will be able to ask the computer just how long that particular tube is before sawing it too short. Again.

Pappy, When are you going to make some more LE videos? I'm stuck on #07.
