Hummel engines vs Team mini max 1/2 vw's
« on: February 29, 2024, 09:21:17 PM »
I noticed the 1/2 VW's sold on Team mini max website look identical to and have the same specs as the ones on Hummels website but cheaper. They also use the same product pics. Am i missing something? Are these Casler engines being sold by Team mini max? Why are they cheaper. And there is a add to cart buy now option. Are these ready to ship where as there is a wait list for Hummel? Thanks

Looks like a dead end. I could not get in contact with anyone and it appears Team Mini-Max is no longer in business.

From Perplexity:
The company announced on March 25, 2023, that they would stop taking new orders after July 31, 2023,
and would only complete outstanding orders or projects during the rest of that year.
As of January 23, 2025, it has been over a year since this announcement, and there is no indication that the company has resumed operations.

And the following information is reported in the 2025 Homebuilt Aircraft Buyer's Guide from Kitplanes Magazine, which states that "The owners of Team Mini-Max are trying to sell the business."

Thanks for the update.

I hope someone keeps it going...
