Here's one more of the gear. Done, and axels drilled with calipers positioned.

that is a little taller... but looks good, are you going to raise tail wheel also to compensate?
What tires did you end up going with?
and also where did you pick them up?

I have a set of the larger ones I think they are about 8 pounds each with tire and tube.

Looks great Frank!

How did you set the camber for the wheels as I am at a similar stage?

Bob- the Scarlett is actually the same weight as the lightest 1/2 VW, and thats with a starter!

Darren-i set the axles at 0 camber an 0 toe when welding it all together. Then realized when i bolt on the engine and wings, and put my but in there, things may go negative. So i made shorter cross tubes(5/8" shorter). Looks like i have 1 degree positive. outta work out now.

Joe- bought the tires from Amazon, the'er Carlisle turf saver II, 6.2 lbs mounted with hubs and 13.7" tall. gonna run them and see how it all shakes out before going taller. hate to add 10 lbs just for taller tires.

Hey Frank - I know your not new to this game, but I found myself having to be very careful when shrinking the fabric on that Stab.  That lower stringer is a long and unsupported piece of light metal.  Easy to to 'pull in' as the fabric shrinks...just a heads up that applied to that entire tail feather area... looks good.

I ran across the same thing but knowing this from Sam's build I took precautions on the vertical stabilizer and rudder, but the other area I saw bowing inward was the inside next to the fuselage on the horizontal stabilizers, the elevators were fine.

Here's a shot of the bell-crank I made the other evening for the push pull elevator system.

Haven't worked on the Eagle much lately, had a hog problem, they are tearing up my pasture an gettin close to the runway.

I have mounted the seat and test fit the seat belt i bought. I'll be returning the seat belt, ordered the wrong one, it's way too heavy.

The seat is the plans standard but i used solid rivets and the outer strips are .020 and 1.5" wide, also used plate nuts instead of washers and lock nuts. all these items were chosen cuz i had them.
