Looks good Frank!
Since the subject has come up...how much travel does a tailwheel need to have? Is 2-3 inches sufficent or does it need more?

Dave, do you mean spring travel?  If so, I think a couple inches is fine for grass strips.

Very nice :emoji_u1f60e:

That 3 cylinder looks sweet perched up there. I like that you added some roundness to the elevator too.

Will Do Dave.

The prop is second one made for the 3VW, its 62x38. I'll be cutting a 67x 38 next. already see where i can shave some weight from the prop. it came in at 6 lbs first go at it. I'm pretty sure it will be down to 4 lbs when i'm done whittilin (-:

Excellent pic of excellent progress. Gotta hear that motor run sooner than later though.  ;-)

Frank..what is the vertical distance between the top of the bottom longeron and the bottom of your wing, please? I think I'm building
too much into my modified version. Thanks..

Thanks Dave, the vertical distance is 41" , and if I remember correctly it has one inch less from front to rear spar
