Excellent to see the progress, Dan...thanks for that. Could you please explain the requirements for the in and out fittings ? I see about
seven of them. What does each do ? Thanks...

OK, i need to catch this thread up .
So, the fuel tank is near complete. I had started a thread just for the tank, hope it is helpful for others. While waiting on the proseal to cure i started on the oil tank, also in another thread.
And to jump on another part , i formed a battery tray. The battery is 2.75lbs and is a LiFe. not to be confused with the Li Ion. This battery is mush more stable and not prone to create a fireball if overcharged.

Frank, I like your oil tank. Looks like it will be light. Are you going to pro-seal this, or weld? Seems pro-seal may not take the heat?

Frank, I have really enjoyed your fuel and oil tank series. Good work.
Both in quality and illustration.
I hope the learners on the site realize the fuel tank ends with the fluting pliers technique is the normal method of how one would go about making a set of aluminum ribs
For the welded tank it appears you made mating plywood dies to form a smooth shape.
Which gas are you using for welding aluminum? Oxy/acetylene?
Hydrogen and oxy?
Again fine job Frank

Thanks Tom- i hope this will help others. the fuel system is critical and there are sooooo many ways to do it. My approach is but one and is very conventional.
I'll be using Oxy/acetylene for the alum welding.

Les, my rough calculation shows 6.5 qts. It's probably a bit more but I'll check it when it is welded up and post results
