More progress .
Painted the engine mount and received this week's order from ACS (-:
So got the engine mounted and secured with proper hardware. Started final wiring, hope to do a smoke test soon.
It's been too cold for fabric work in the hanger, but weather forecast is promising next week.

Very nice work.
One observation on the header tank... are you using a fuel pump or relying on gravity feed? The reason I ask is, if you are running a fuel pump, the header tank would be more effective mounted in a vertical direction. In the horizontal direction your fuel pickup is more susceptible to yaw/bank-induced slosh.
I can see that if you are relying on gravity feed it gets harder to go vertical and maintain head pressure which could virtually force the horizontal setup.
And yes I recognize this is only an issue when the header tank is less than 100% full.

Steve- The plan for the header tank is , It will be full at all times. if for some reason i let it get that low of fuel there is about 10 minutes left. I better find somewhere to land.

Hey Frank:
I don't know if you already answered this, but what size of AL tube did you make your header tank from? What thickness? what's your total weight for the header?
Thanks

Frank. when you get a chance i would like some info on landing gear springs. they look longer than mine. cannot wait to hear it run and see it fly. what is the alum tubing from engine down towards oil tank. it appears to be a 1/2”
