It hurt a lot Frank :-), ok, going to close this thread before I get drug up on the gallows, Again! - Your prop is still the big hit on the Jenny - we are frisking this one dude for wrenches when he comes to visit - real creepy watching a guy fondle a prop like he does. He loves that Performance Prop.

Frank,
Awesome... Are you gonna fly in formation with the Hardy Boys to Oshkosh this year? Or Reklaw.

Cut some form blocks and made the first tank rib. Should be 5 gallons of usable fuel in this tank.

Hey Everyone,
Getting back on the XL, going to be a bit long winded on this one.
First. shortly after my last post to this thread my Mother had a terrible life changing event, won't go any further into that other than to say I dropped everything for a couple months to help my parents. Been a slow recovery but it is one.
My prop business was set back on order deliveries and i apologize for that to a point. For me Family is at the top of my priorities. Fortunately All my customers understand that and I am blessed all the more for it.
NOW, Back to the XL.
It's gone thru a few changes also. The biggest is the power plant choice has been changed from the 4A084 to a Verner Scarlett 3VW. This means drastic weight reduction. This of coarse means the tail will be per plans instead of the heavier 4130 planned to compensate for the heavy engine. I have started the second wing this week and expect the engine as soon as next week. It should be test run by now. I'm also attempting to video the second wings construction with a Gopro in time lapse, not promising any good results, it my fist attempt .
More later.
