Hangar Size for 2
« on: February 25, 2014, 02:07:57 PM »
My father and I want to build 2 LEU XL's. We were thinking of housing them in the same hangar, but I am unsure what size would fit the 2 planes.
How small can we get away with?

Have you thought about hanging one plane above the other. It wouldn't  take much to lift 250 lbs with pulleys and cables. Since the fuselage is open it would be real easy to make attach points for lifting. That would be a lot cheaper than building a hangar big enough for two.
It's a brutal struggle for the biscuit!
Building XL-D-25 Fuselage 90% done.   ribs done, spars 90% done.

Thank you Jlwright!
I ran that idea past my father and he said "yeah, they do that all the time with J3 Cubs!".
