Workman wheels
« on: May 19, 2014, 06:53:25 PM »
I just looked up the workman wheels at Bowling bicycle as the blue prints say and was wondering what wheels to get?  Drive side workman rim or freewheel workman rim? And also is this where Leonard got the bearings? And what ones?    Thanks  Kenny DE E-09

Hi ,
I got the heavy duty wheels for the Double Eagle out of Pasadena TX the 3/4 cones and bearings get both 3/4 cones and the bearings they look like a early chevy. front wheel bearing a lot of balls in a cage.  I repacked the wheels the other day and the bearings are holding up very well after a lot of hard landings some even broke the gear once at Oshkosh even.  Leonard

When I looked up the worksman wheels, there is 2 options. ( drive side rim or freewheel rim)?     Not sure if one is better then the other to mount the brakes.    Which ones did u get Leonard ?       Thank you. Kenny

I would get the free wheel wheels they hold up more weight in my view.  Leonard
