I don't mind flying close to things that are not people, animals or buildings with possible people in them. If things go wrong it is between me and the rock or tree, i do not want to be responsible for hurting others with my play. I have several ideas with the cameras on the ground including better audio.
I'm with you on this one, Les.
Many years ago in our local area, some good ol' boys were out goofing around with a J-5 or something like that, the pilot was sneaking up on the guys on the ground. One very low pass hit an unanticipated downdraft and the prop hit one guy right between the shoulder blades and detached his head from his shoulders. That would be hard to explain.....and live with......
I cringe every time I see someone making a low, high-speed pass down the runway with people and planes crowded up against the runway boundary. Yeah, guess I'm just a party pooper, but remember....
everybody has a camera now.....and you never know if someone watching is being unfavorably impressed with the antics.
