Sam, good luck selling it. It shouldn't be difficult as it's almost a work of art. After it's gone though, I hope you don't take down the XL-58 website. I've read through it a few times and enjoyed doing so. I was hoping to refer back to it from time to time while my build is under way. Anyhow, good luck on your next project and I'm looking forward to your post on it.

Thanks Vince, glad you are enjoying the website. It will remain up for the foreseeable future.

XL-58 will definitely be missed, it has been a great ride, but there is a finite amount of floorspace....and flying time. Someone will get a good deal, the plane couldn't be built for the price I have posted.

Why am I not surprised that you would sooner or later take on another project? :)  You have way too much talent not to be building something. I can't wait to see what your next project is! I understand about limited time and space. I have about two aircraft too many myself now, and something needs to go at some point. Anyway, good luck with your sale. I hope you will keep watching this forum to help people like me who can use your advice.

Airdrome Aeroplanes kit, or a historically accurate build from original plans? (With hopefully the exception of a more modern / much more reliable engine than the original aircraft had.)

I thought you'd be going the other way again - building an RV-14, or an RV-10.

For real, I really thought you'd be going the other way again - building an RV-14, or an RV-10.  Not kidding!!!

I really like Airdrome Aerocraft - I live in Missouri afterall.  That said, have you also considered the Steve Wittman W-10 Tailwind?  I think your build description of the W-10 Tailwind would be pretty exciting to follow.

Also - totally different aircraft, but have you considered building the Fournier RF-4?  I hear that building plans are out there for that aircraft:

Never seriously considered a Tailwind, but I sure have given a local Wittman Buttercup a close look. That is one sweet little plane.

I have no need or desire for another RV, my RV-6 is all the traveling plane I need.
